The Able Remote mobile app by default will use its own voice feature which works on all Google TV versions. You can configure the mobile app to use the Google Voice Search feature instead for GTV version 3.0 or later. The Google Voice Search feature supports different commands than the Able Remote voice feature. Use the ‘Settings/Voice Search’ menu option to select the Google Voice Search feature. You need to have the Voice Search app installed on your Google TV device to be able to use the Google Voice Search feature.
Able Remote Voice Commands
Press the Voice button to speak commands that will control your Google TV. Three different commands are supported.
To change the TV channel, start the voice command with the word “channel”. For example, “channel 250” or “channel discovery” or “channel msnbc”.
To launch an app on Google TV, start the voice command with the word “app”. For example, “app netflix” or “app chrome”. Only the pre-installed apps are supported.
To do a search on Google TV, start the voice command with the word “search”. For example, “search help” or “search dr who”.
To run a macro, start the voice command with the word “macro” and then the name of the macro. For example, “macro tv”.
To play music, start the voice command with the word “play” and then the name of the track. For example, “play firework”. If you just want to start playing the last music, then just say “play” without a track name.
